Lizzy + Mike | Boom Island Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

We were with Lizzy & Mike from the beginning when they were searching venues and trying to get the people who run bookings at the Minneapolis parks to call them back. This wedding was a perfect example that with a little extra work you can really stay within your budget and create everything you want for your wedding day! 

The wind was the strongest we've ever seen (in Minneapolis any way) with gusts hitting 40mph. My motto is to turn every aspect of your wedding day into a positive. The winds meant more dramatic shots with an 8 foot veil ready to fly away at a moments notice. And it certainly did fly. The moment I arrived, a bridesmaid offered me a glass of Prosecco. I knew they were doing their day right instantaneously. We had a party bus, cooler stacked and we went on an adventure throughout the city. The day was setup so everyone could relax and enjoy themselves and that helped us catch some of the best authentic moments of the year. 

A Boom Island ceremony on the river led to a bash all night on the deck of Darby's in the North Loop! For good measure - we had to stay all night so we could capture the sparkler send off too! It was such a spectacular evening!
